Rick Brooks is one of the dynamic and enthusiastic pastors in the church today. He has served as an evangelist, youth director, assistant pastor, worship leader and senior pastor. He had just married his wife Penny when God began to deal with them about going to the Washington D.C. area to help build a church. Fourteen years later, the Lord called Rick and Penny to go again and this time to go and help revive a struggling church in Greensboro, North Carolina of 20 people. In just 9 short years the church grew in number and became home to nearly 100 precious families, with two worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. . After much prayer, fasting hearing the call of God, Pastor Rick resigned his church in June 2007 and began a new work in the Adams Farm area called, Free Church International.

Pastor Rick Brooks is consumed with the call of preaching and bringing people into the presence of God. He and his lovely wife Penny are blessed with a unique variety of gifts and talents. Pastor Rick's passion and God given assignment is to establish a people that are driven to see salvation come to lost humanity. His anointed preaching, real life examples and illustrated sermons, make the word of God palatable and alive. Hundreds of people have received salvation, healing and deliverance, through this powerful ministry team.

He's not the ordinary preacher. His life-changing messages include a unique blend of hard-hitting drama, storytelling, and moving musical dramas that leave those in the congregation soul searching. He is an accomplished drummer of 34 years, plays the piano and sings. Rick along with his wife have lead worship teams for the last 15 years.

Along with his family and pastoral duties at Free Church International, Rick serves and volunteers his time as a regular host on “Ask The Pastor” and “TCT Alive” for one of the local Christian television stations WLXI TV – 61 of the TCT network.

Pastor Rick and Penny have been blessed with a beautiful family including -their only son Preston, his wife Samantha and their daughters Lily Grace and Rachael Lo, his oldest daughter Terrah and her husband DeVane and daughter Kiayla Faith, and youngest daughter Anna.
